PROJECT COORDINATOR

Full Time | Based in North West London | £22,000 - £24,000
Are you an ambitious educator who is passionate about interfaith work? Are you concerned by antisemitism and its effect on young people?
You must be a motivated educator, driven to create social change in society. The candidate will have an understanding of antisemitism and discrimination and how this affects young people in the UK today. This growing project has already reached over 32,000 students in over 80 schools since January 2017 with overwhelmingly positive feedback from teachers and students.
We are looking for someone who is excited to help expand the reach of Stand Up! on a national basis. You will be delivering informal educational sessions in secondary schools, working within a vibrant interfaith team of educators, as well as managing day to day administration to ensure the smooth running of the project. You will have the capacity to develop the project in numerous ways, working with partners and stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivering educational workshops in secondary schools, in person or online depending on Covid-19 guidelines

Developing a range of dynamic and interactive educational resources

Coordinating, administering and managing a busy calendar of activities

Extensive training on the topic of discrimination, antisemitism and anti-Muslim hatred

Proactively establishing and developing relationships with project partners, schools and other stakeholders

Ongoing development and growth of the Stand Up! programme

Travelling to facilitate sessions (across London and occasionally outside of London


ESSENTIAL SKILLS
-
Experience in informal education, youth work or within a classroom environment
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a real passion for working with young people

A good grasp of Judaism and issues of discrimination affecting the Jewish community in the UK
-
Eagerness to work in an interfaith Jewish-Muslim partnership
-
Effective self-management, personal initiative, and creativity, to develop this exciting project

Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel
DESIRABLE SKILLS
-
A passion for current affairs and an interest in the connection between global events and the topic of discrimination more broadly
-
An awareness of how monitoring and evaluation systems work
-
Creativity and motivation to make graphics on any preferred design platform from Photoshop to Canva
-
Preferably, a full clean UK driving license and have access to a car
